Comprehensive Privacy Notice

I. Identity of the controller

AcademicOS, based in Santiago, Chile, is responsible for processing your personal data. For any inquiries: privacidad@academicos.app

II. Personal data collected

Identification data (name, email, institution, position, ORCID), academic data (publications, education, teaching, conferences, certifications, grants, awards), evidence documents, and payment data (processed by third parties).

III. Purposes of processing

Primary purposes (necessary):

• Provide the academic portfolio management service.
• Generate CV exports in PDF format.
• Process subscription payments.
• Maintain your account security.

Secondary purposes (optional):

• Document analysis using artificial intelligence (requires additional consent).
• Publication of academic data on a voluntary public profile (requires additional in-app consent).

If you do not wish your data to be processed for secondary purposes, you may indicate this by sending an email to privacidad@academicos.app or by disabling each feature from Settings.

IV. Mechanism to exercise ARCO rights

You have the right to Access, Rectify, Cancel, or Object to the processing of your personal data (ARCO rights). You can exercise them directly from the Settings section of your account or by sending a request to:

We will respond to your request within a maximum of 20 business days.

V. Data transfers

Your data may be transferred to: Supabase (storage), Stripe/MercadoPago (payments), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (optional AI analysis). These transfers are necessary for service delivery and are made with adequate security measures.

VI. Means to communicate changes

Any modification to this privacy notice will be communicated via email to the address registered in your account with at least 30 days' notice.

VII. Consent

By creating your AcademicOS account, you expressly consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with the purposes described in this notice.

VIII. Voluntary Public Profiles

AcademicOS offers the option to create a public profile accessible on the internet via a unique URL. This feature is completely voluntary and requires your express consent within the platform. You may activate and deactivate your public profile at any time from Settings → Public Profile, with immediate effect. Your email address will never be publicly visible, regardless of your settings.
